Projects of note recently carried out by Property Finance include:-
• A number of projects involving the leisure industry including the refinance of a national group of hotels (circa £170M) and the refinance of a national group of gyms (circa £50M).
• A number of development facilities to Further Education colleges for both development and refurbishment of teaching facilities and accommodation.
• Funding the acquisition of a significant commercial property portfolio via Jersey Property Unit Trusts.
• Numerous facilities relating to the construction of office and mixed use commercial accommodation.
Recent work undertaken by the Property Investment team includes:-
• Portfolio acquisition of industrial estates for £10M for one of the largest UK investors in industrial property
• Certifying title to a portfolio of holiday parks as part of financing arrangements in excess of £100M
• Purchase of shopping centre for private equity company
• Acting on office/hotel developments in Newcastle and York
Work undertaken by the Property Finance team includes a broad range of instructions, from the purchase/development of residential portfolios, the funding of the acquisition and development of commercial property portfolios, through to major infrastructure projects, and brownfield site regeneration. Whilst the team retains a strong link with lenders based in the North East, it is recognised nationally and the work undertaken by the team covers the length and breadth of England and Wales.
