Building loads of schools for the future! - 19 Mar 2006
Following a competitive tender, their Projects Group was selected to act for Middlesbrough Council on their £80 million BSF project.
The team, led by Iain Greenshields, Deborah Ramshaw and Ruth Corrigan, will be working with the Council on their project to transform education in Middlesbrough, which will see four new secondary schools being built alongside the three City Academies which have recently been developed within the borough. The project will involve the provision of facilities management services and ICT to the new schools, once construction has been completed.
The appointment follows those which the team already has in place on other BSF projects, including Newcastle, Durham and South Tyneside/Gateshead in the north east and the London Borough of Newham in the south east. It brings the total value of BSF schemes on which the team are advising to almost £900 million - and this in the context of an initiative which remains in the early stages of development, with no signed schemes to date.
