- Duncan is a partner in the Commercial Development and Housing Group and another of our partners ranked in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession. He regularly advises regional and national housebuilders on options, conditional contracts, site assembly, estate set up and disposal matters. Duncan also acts for private investors involved in the purchase of high value residential portfolios and landowners involved in the disposal of land for commercial or residential development.
He also advises on development projects including site acquisition and development agreements for commercial developers and advises public sector clients on regeneration and disposal schemes. Duncan is the partner in charge of the firm's practice management standard, Lexcel, and he also manages the firm's Volume Plot Sales Group handling house and flat sales for house builders. As a member of the Chemicals Group he advises clients in the chemical sector on property matters.

Duncan is currently involved in commercial development schemes at East Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne and a 50 acre commercial development scheme at Gosforth Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne occupied by BT, RMT, Greens Health & Fitness and Nomad Housing Group. He also acts for regional and national housebuilders including Bellway and Persimmon on large-scale residential development projects. His work also includes Urban Development Corporation projects at Sunderland Marina and Sunderland Enterprise Park.

Acting on joint venture residential and commercial development projects for AWG. An example includes 81,000 square feet of offices, at The Watermark, Gateshead.
