Paul spent a number of years with local authorities before joining the planning unit of a major City of London firm. From there he joined Dickinson Dees to provide a specialist planning practice. His work has included major town centre redevelopment and housing projects and extensive experience of advocacy in Public Inquiries and Tribunals. For ten years, Paul also sat on the Law Society Planning and Environmental Law Committee which consults on central government legislation and regulatory powers in related fields. He has also been involved in advising public authorities in relation to private legislation and Transport and Works Act powers and in opposing private bills in Parliament.
