    Robin was appointed senior partner of Dickinson Dees LLP in May 2005. In addition to that role, he is the client partner for a number of key clients of the firm. As an employment law specialist, Robin continues to advise clients, mainly in the education sector, including for example the Universities of Durham and Teesside, Middlesbrough College and Yarm School. From 1 Jan 2009, Robin is also the North East regional chair of the CBI.

    Robin read law as part of a joint honours degree at Durham University. After training in both Manchester and the North East Robin on qualification initially practiced as a criminal lawyer which helped him to develop his advocacy skills. Following a period of general commercial litigation he has for the past 15 years specialised in employment law, and has appeared in Tribunals throughout the United Kingdom from Aberdeen to Southampton. Robin is also a trained mediator.
